ERP implementation PMs need lots of logs:
data migration logs
change request logs
Some PMs are happy to manage all these logs in separate spreadsheets or a a big gnarly workbook with dozens of tabs.
Me, I prefer to manage all these logs in a database system designed specifically for this purpose. That's why I use my own custom-built Selection and Implementation Management System (SIMS) to manage all my projects.
Why? Because many of these logs are related e.g. gaps to CRs and CRs to invoices and this makes the use case for using a database and not a spreadsheet more compelling.
