Demo scenarios must be used to drive the vendor solution demostrations
A demo scenario - sometimes called a demo script - is a carefully defined solution scenario for vendors to demonstrate their solution against.
These demos scenarios are only sent to the vendors that have got through the RFI and RFP stages of the selection.
Each scenario defines specifically what you want to see in the demonstration and in what order.
A scenario is likely to be process-centric and your internal audience for each scenario may be different so you need to rotate people in and out of the demonstration session.
Demo scenarios need to be reviewed and agreed with the vendors to set expectations and avoid hiccups on the demo day. This may take a number of calls and meetings to achieve as every solution does things differently and may not map directly onto your demo scenarios.
The PM is responsible for logging scenario issues during the demo session itself and following up on those issues with the vendor afterwards.
