Establishing your ERP readiness is a worthwhile investment before you start an ERP selection/implementation project
Few organizations are actually fully ready to mobilise for an ERP project, so ERP Readiness aims to establish organizational readiness ratings across a number of dimensions that usually include:
The readiness activity is largely comprised of interviews of key stakeholders across all these dimensions using a set of questions that are scored using a simple RAG to get an overall rating for that dimension:
Red - Unready
Amber - Some readiness but work to do
Green - Ready
It is unlikely that any organization will be all Red or all Green but most likely somewhere in-between
The results of the Readiness Assessment are played back to the stakeholders at a workshop, revised as needed and then a set of Readiness Recommendations prepared to suggest key action points.
